Time for a movie

After our hike and walk around town we noticed the little old fashion movie theater in town was showing an interesting movie, we made note of this and went home to cook dinner.

We really didn't plan any specific activities for this trip, partly because we are still just learning the ins and outs of the trailer and campgrounds etc. But actually I really like to travel this way. Having too many things planned can make a trip a lot less fun.

I think this is one of the reasons I really like the idea of the trailer, having a real home away from home with you all the time instead of a generic hotel room (with check-in and check-out time) is very freeing. You can do as much or as little as you want.

In this spirit we decided to head back into town to checkout the movie we had stumbled up earlier.

The movie was filmed inside Chauvet Cave, which is pretty much completely closed to prevent people from destroying the precious and amazing cave paintings. It took a lot of work to get permission and was filmed under amazing restrictions on equipment, man-power and time in the cave. The cave painting are really incredible, checkout the trailer below.

Airstream Log: This trip 248 miles and 3 nights . Lifetime 774 miles and 6 nights
