Drive to Delta Junction

Today we drove from Chena Hot Springs to Delta Junciton. We also did some quick shopping and lunch at Walmart in Fairbanks on the way.

We also stopped at Rika Roadhouse a historic old time Alaskan Road house.

The oil pipeline goes over the river near the roadhouse.

The road house is a little museum complex with a bunch of old buildings and a short trail which we explore.

We found Rika's grave but never found a supposed gold cache.

The cafe promised baked goods but was closed. :(

For some odd reason my brother was horizontal on the grass and Maureen jumped over him...

Everyday is a mystery on this trip!

There were some chickens, goats and a lot of nice gardens on the property as well.
